The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has allowed 79 party-list groups and disqualified four more in the May 2013 elections.
Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr. said of these groups, 21 are newly-accredited while 58 are existing groups.
Of the 21 new entrants, five have pending motions for reconsideration before the commission en banc.
Among those approved are: LPGMA, An Waray, Bagong Henerasyon, Pro-Life, Abante Retirees, Una ang Pamilya, Kasosyo, Pwersa ng Bayaning Atleta (PBA), and Magdalo.
Brillantes said the commission en banc retained 20 of the party-list groups via a unanimous vote, including Agham, Kabataan, Ang Ladlad, and Gabriela.
Meanwhile, those disqualified are new entrant ALONA and existing groups Senior Citizens Party, 1-Utak and 1-Kabagis.*PNA
