Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Western Visayas OIC Regional Director Salome Siaton advised fresh college graduates who are looking for work to visit or log on to PHIL-JobNet or their agency’s website which is www.dole.gov.ph as the first crucial step in their quest to enter the world of work.Â
By doing so, Siaton said a jobseeker can register as a job applicant and then have his or her skills matched with available jobs.Â
This happens when a registered jobseeker logs in with, for example, the Phil-JobNet to submit his or her resume.Â
In the process, the applicant is allowed to view job matches and have the resume automatically matched with existing jobs.Â
A registered applicant also logs in to update personal information.Â
PHIL-JobNet is an internet-based job and applicant matching system which aims to fast track the jobseeker's search for jobs and the employer's search for manpower. This is a facility of the Department of Labor and Employment with centralized database maintained by the Bureau of Local Employment.Â
It is the government’s job matching and labor market information portal.Â
A list of top hiring companies, hot jobs, job fair schedules and other relevant information are found in the site.*PIA
