The Department of Trade and Industry, through a press release, announced that there will be a Diskwento Caravan in Iloilo City, May 29 at the Freedom Grandstand. This aims to inform the public that they could go there and buy stuff at discounted prices. However, when The News Today representative went there, there was no Diskwento Caravan. Upon inquiry at their office which is nearby, they said that it was cancelled because no manufacturer responded to the project. To the DTI's public information office, please give updates to the public if you are cancelling an event that you announced. That would save interested parties energy and transportation expense.
