A teenager stabbed a drunk man who boxed him early morning at Brgy. Tabuc Suba, Jaro, Iloilo City.

Witnesses pointed to Darwin Sanchez, 18, of Sitio Dapdap, Brgy. Tabuc Suba, as the suspect in the stabbing of Dexter Obillos, 22, of Sitio Magarot, said village.

Obillos succumbed to two injuries on his chest.

He was brought to West Visayas State University Medical Center but did not pull through.

Sanchez, on the other hand, immediately fled after the incident.

Police investigators traced the incident to a misunderstanding between the two.

When Obillos was on his way home, together with two friends, Sanchez allegedly got on their way.

There was an exchange of words until Obillos boxed the suspect.

At that juncture, Sanchez pulled a knife and stabbed the victim twice.

Criminal charge is yet to be filed against the suspect who remains at large, as of presstime.*
