Days before the Fire Prevention Month enters, five houses were gutted in another fire which allegedly started due to short circuit in Sto. Rosario, Duran in City Proper district yesterday afternoon.

Of the five, two houses owned by Junnie Celio and Gladys Portado were destroyed while three were damaged.

According to the initial investigation of the Iloilo City Fire Station, the fire allegedly started in the house of Portado at 3 p.m.

The fire was immediately put out with no injuries reported.*
