Ilonggos are enjoined to witness “Linog sa Calinog” – a festival of sounds to be participated by 52 sound systems from different provinces in Western Visayas.

The event is simultaneous with the 52nd birthday celebration of Calinog Mayor Alex Centena.

“This is already the third time that we hold this kind of activity. This attracts tourists who are fond of sounds like me,” he said and added that the event is income-generating as well.

Centena said he has maintained a sound system worth P2 million which is used in village fiestas for free.

Aside from battle of sounds, there will be food festival and live bands, too, to entertain visitors.

Last month, the town also celebrated “Hirinugyaw Sinuguidanunay” festival.*
