SAN JOSE, Antique – The local government of this town announced that it will provide health and wellness services from April 6 to May 22, in celebration of Tiringbanay 2012 Festival.
According to the Municipal Health Office, the medical checkup will be held at the Balay Loca, beside the New Capitol building.
Regular services include blood pressure screening and weighing for obesity.
On April 27, the public can avail of anemia screening for Barangays 8 and 4 preferably for malnourished children aged 1 year old to 7 years old. There will also be tuberculosis (TB) screening for Brgys. 4 and 3. This screening service is for 1 to 7 year-old children in contact with TB patients.
On April 28 and 30, there will be ECG testing to benefit approximately 50 clients each day while diabetes screening was set on May 1.
First aid and medical kits will be distributed on April 30, said MHO.
This year's "Tiringbanay Festival" has a theme "San Jose: Make it Happen" to honor the work and accomplishments of San Josenhons everywhere taking brave steps to make a difference.
Tiringbanay came from the word "tiriringub" or to be together. It is an annual celebration of the homecoming of residents of San Jose spread all throughout the country and abroad.*PIA
