Eleven commercial establishments will give discounts to their customers in support to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Diskwento Caravan in line with the Labor Day celebration.

DTI Iloilo Director Wilhelm Malones said that starting Monday, April 30, these commercial establishments, mostly appliance stores, will give about 10 percent discounts to their customers.

Some grocery stores will also provide discounted price on their products until May 5.

Malones said consumers can easily know the establishments that will provide discounts through the tarpaulins posted in these stores.

The discounts are intended to ease the financial burden on the consuming public as they celebrate Labor Day.

The DTI director added that store owners have also been trained earlier on Consumer Welfare Handling so they could provide better service to the customers.*PNA
