The 2012 Outstanding Batang Maayonanon
The Ang Batang Maayonanon Award is Borres Youth Leadership Institute's way of recognizing the exemplary and outstanding performances of young Maayonanons who have uplifted the name of the Municipality of Maayon and thereby inspired the youth to contribute to the development of Maayon.
Now on its 2nd year, BYLI's Ang Batang Maayonanon Award gave recognition to graduating elementary pupils and secondary students basing on their academic rating and involvement in various contests, seminars and other co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in different year levels.
The awarding ceremony was held on April 12, 2012 at Maayon Municipal Hall.
Recipients of the award for the elementary category include Gail Belangel, Marlou Dap-og, Cherry Joy Demingoy, Susan Mae Diaz, Hammil Rainard Distor, Alaiza Kaye Dordas, Jessame Taladtad, Alvin Christopher Taule, Princess Yhna Trumata, and Blessy Grace Valsado.
For the secondary category are Welkins John Alovera, Pawlene Ann Batuigas, Mae Betita, Charlyn Comoro, Mery Grace Comoro, Shawnee Cornelio, Divine Grace Dacles, Lovely Dador, Keeshia Mae Degala, Jelyn Deseo, Kathleen Joy Dionson, Dave Bernard Dili, Kimberly Durana, Remar Fuentes, Kris Gonzales, and Sweetcill Rose Orocio.
Aldren Fuentes, a recipient of Ayala Young Leaders 2012 and an incoming senior Education student at Filamer Christian University was the guest speaker of the ceremony. Aldren shared his thoughts and insights on being an outstanding student.
