The Land Transportation Office 6 was awarded the "Most Outstanding Regional Office" in 2011, following its compliance to the set criteria which include good governance, quality management system and innovativeness.
In a press conference, LTO Regional Director Gerard Camiña, who was awarded as the "Most Outstanding Regional Director," attributed the success of LTO to the employees who performed well last year and are inspired to perform well again for this year.
Camiña noted the LTO 6 also received the same recognition last 2010.
He said one of the agency's thrusts is the computerization of LTO records to facilitate easier retrieval of data.
He noted that as of December last year, the LTO 6 converted to PDF format documents from 2005 up to the present.
The LTO 6, said Camiña, is also noted for its health and wellness program to boost its human resources. The programs, he said, include physical fitness or aerobics, anger and stress managemen and basic self-defense program which include gun handling and safety seminar-workshop.
Camiña lauded the LTO 6 personnel and the public who cooperated to ensure that laws which LTO were mandated to enforce were observed.
Other awardees are LTO Roxas City "Most Outstanding District Office," Jose Degollado Jr. as "Most Outstanding District Officer" and Reuben Tampos, OIC of LTO San Carlos DO as "Most Outstanding Employee."*Mayin de los Santos
